The Quarter Mile Project
May 28 – June 28, 2024
The Quarter Mile Project is a collection of 15,840 quarters via donation cans placed at local businesses. Donations can also be made via PayPal and Venmo, and any electronic donations will be converted to quarters.
Why that many quarters? 15,840 quarters will stretch a quarter (1/4) mile and raise $3,960 for In Love and Song.
All funds raised during this campaign will kickstart In Love and Song's goal to provide a service animal to a brain tumor patient. If the full quarter mile of quarters is collected, we will be one quarter to that goal!
Conceived by local high school student, Jaime Myers, quarters will be collected at multiple locations in Central New Jersey until June 28th when the project culminates in an event at Lebanon Township Memorial Park in Califon, New Jersey, which will include performances by local students from the music program at her school and a ceremonial dumping of all of the cans of quarters collected!

About Jaime
Jaime Myers is a 16-year-old high school junior in New Jersey. She has been studying music since she was very young, where she initially met Miss Deb, the founder of In Love and Song. Jaime recently lost her cousin to a brain tumor and was looking for a way to make a difference. She came across In Love and Song, reconnected with Miss Deb, and the Quarter Mile Project began. Jaime sings in multiple choirs at school, takes voice lessons, and participates in multiple clubs, including drama club. She is also a Girl Scout planning to complete her Gold Award within the next year.

We will be helping teen volunteer, Jaime, attempt a quarter mile of donated quarters. All proceeds benefit nonprofit In Love And Song, whose focus is improving the quality of life for brain tumor and brain cancer patients. Join us for a FREE EVENING of live entertainment as we raise awareness and funds for the benefit of brain tumor patients.
